Our mission

The AI model landscape changes faster than any individual can track. New models ship weekly. Prices drop overnight. Capabilities that were flagship features become table stakes within months. UseRightAI exists to cut through that noise — giving you a reliable, up-to-date source of truth for AI model selection without hype, without vendor bias, and without a paywall.

How it works

Editorial independence

No AI provider pays to appear in our rankings or recommendations. Our data and verdicts are determined by benchmarks, real-world performance, and pricing accuracy — not commercial relationships.

Live pricing data

We pull pricing directly from OpenRouter's API every day and compare it against our database. When prices change, our pages update automatically — no manual editing required.

Detection is automated. Publishing is not.

When a major AI lab ships a model, our pipeline detects it within about a day and drafts an entry. That draft is held back until a person checks it against the provider's own pricing page and model card. Nothing reaches the site unreviewed — automation finds the work, it does not sign off on it.

Methodology transparency

Every verdict is based on publicly available benchmark data (SWE-bench, MMLU, ARC-AGI-2), official pricing pages, and context window specs. We cite our sources and update them when vendors publish new numbers.

Built for speed

Pages are pre-rendered and cached at the edge on Vercel. We don't use cookies or tracking beyond anonymised analytics. The site loads fast regardless of where you are.

Built for real people

Most AI comparison sites are either too technical or too superficial. UseRightAI is written for developers, business users, students, and anyone who wants a clear answer — not more jargon.

Data sources & methodology

Pricing — API pricing is fetched daily from OpenRouter's public API, which aggregates real-time pricing from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, Mistral, DeepSeek, and other providers. We display standard (non-batch) per-token pricing converted to per-million-token rates for easy comparison.

Benchmarks — We use publicly published benchmark results: SWE-bench (coding), MMLU (general knowledge), ARC-AGI-2 (reasoning), and HumanEval (code generation). All benchmark data is sourced from official provider announcements or third-party leaderboards such as LMSYS Chatbot Arena.

Context windows and capabilities — Sourced from each provider's official documentation and API specifications. We verify against OpenRouter metadata and update when discrepancies are found.

Editorial verdicts — Written and reviewed by a person before publication, and revisited when a model receives a significant capability or pricing change. Where our tooling drafts an entry for a newly detected model, that draft sits in a review queue and is not visible on the site until someone has checked it. Review happens before publishing, not after.
